Bio Loco Brusca

Luis Brusca LUIS BRUSCA (Ingeniero Luiggi, La Pampa, Argentina, 1964) is an actor, diagnosed as a psycho-clown - no one knows when or by whom - who has specialised in street performance. Using humour as his basic working tool, he has crteated a unique style adaptable for any kind of situation with which he captivates and amazes his audiences. During his many years of experience, he has acquired numerous skills, becoming a complete and flexible professional (mime, bufoon, unicycle, juggling, balloon-modelling, fire- swallowing, dance, etc.) all of which has transformed him into LOCO BRUSCA.

He began studying drama at the National School of Dramatic Art of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Choosing to develope as an artist in Barcelona, he studied Film Direction while taking his first steps as a street performer. He served his apprenticeship with such teachers as Johnny Melville, Jango Edwards, Albert Vidal, Gabriel Chamé Buendía and at the end of the 1980s with Elizabeth Couchetief to further his knowledge of the world of comedy and later refine his clown work with John Wright, Philipe Gaulier; drama with Ernie Martín and, more recently, experimental theatre with Stephan Metz, the last 2006 he meet Yoshito Ohno and start an experimentation whit butoh dance and clown, teatre, the result is the new way of expresion in his comedy.  His characters Speerman, General Mierden, Don Zoilo and 21st Century Schizoid Man, are four of his recent creations that demonstrate his evolution.

The last creations  Guasavi, Nature´s Agony, Mr X shows  his complete new style…………whithout loosing his essence.......

 through diffrent and particular visions of the times we live in and using diverse languages of humour: white, adult, black, intellectual, for children, acid, bizarre, political, provocative, direct, indirect, etc. These characteristics make his shows - in various languages - adaptable for all kinds of spaces, audiences and programmes.
